Michigan: The Third Coast

You may think this beautiful coast is that of California or even Florida... but no.

Michiganders like to refer to themselves as having the "third" coast. When in Michigan, do not be impressed if everybody tells you they've been to the west coast. They mean Holland.

Between what we Oregonians know as the west and east coasts, there is a 3,000 mile distance. Between Michigan's east and west coasts, it's only about 3 hours.

There is a Third Coast Surf Shop... which happens to be on a small inlet of Lake Huron. Lame.

Let's show these Michiganders what Oregonians mean by coast...

Now that's bad ass. Even if you can drink yours.
